The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Jinjiang Technology and Innovation Research Institute

Established in September 2023, the PolyU-Jinjiang Technology and Innovation Research Institute is the first technology and innovation research institute set up by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University outside the Greater Bay Area.

By integrating superior innovation resources both domestically and internationally through various forms of collaboration—including joint research, academic exchanges, joint talent cultivation, and technology transfer—the Institute focuses on key areas aligned with Fujian's industrial development and public needs. These areas encompass textile technology, innovative food technology, microelectronics, science and technology innovation policies, healthcare, and cultural tourism.

The Institute is dedicated to the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation. Through diverse industry-academia-research-application collaboration models, it aims to accelerate the commercialization of technological achievements. Ultimately, it strives to empower Jinjiang to become a forward-looking, globally connected hub for technological innovation and emerging industries, thereby providing intellectual and innovative momentum for enriching the "Jinjiang Experience" and advancing the development of a new Fujian in the new era.
